Google return address

Published by Martin at 11:59 am under General

Google is finally allowing you to use whatever From address you want, provided you can verify the address. So, I no longer have to see ‘@gmail.com’ in my return address field. A small step, but one I’ve been hoping for since I first got my Gmail account.

It works for me on a computer I know has never logged into a Gmail account. If you’re using Firefox, try allowing to pop-up (some people find it annoying, but I have most of my links opening up in a new window/tab)

If this doesn’t work for you, try the Google Blog at http://google.blogspace.com, or http://www.google.com/gmail/help/whatsnew.html. I can’t put hyperlinks in the comments section, I decided long ago it wasn’t worth the risks.
