		<description>Its a scary society which allows the police (in all aspects from local cops to NSA) to collect data and use intrusive surveliace without even a warrant. 

On a related note - I've just read an interesting but rather academic paper on privacy that you might like. http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=998565

I should blog a comment about it really - but you may find it interesting. What shocked me was the difference in privacy between my country (NZ) and yours. The thought that banks can sell data and be found to have not harmed their clients, and secondary use of data ... that's just shocking to me.</description>
