I had dinner with a couple several months ago at a vegan restaurant on the eve of their wedding. They're both strongly vegan and I figured it wouldn't hurt me at all to try it. I had some portabella mushrooms in a pita which was pretty good. Luckily they served cream and sugar with breakfast the next morning. But there's not much chance of me adopting it as a lifestyle.

Exercise program is going well so far. Today's my rest day and I almost feel like I should be doing something. I'll do some stretches later on today to work it out.

Martin,

Although most Americans are reluctant to try it, going vegetarian or vegan (no animal products at all) a couple of days per week can be a great way to lose weight and improve your overall health.

Best of luck with your diet and exercise program.
