Network Security Podcast, Episode 249

Published by at 4:34 am under Podcast

Once again, the podcast team is unable to get together long enough to record a podcast.  Rich is off wandering around China and Zach had to answer an emergency bat signal somewhere in Gotham Park.  Which left Martin alone with Josh Corman, newly appointed Director of Security Intelligence at Akamai.  As usual with these two, the discussion went a little longer than it should have, but it was at least mildly amusing.  Once, or twice.  Josh speaks about his decision to move to Akamai, as well as revealing one or two other ‘secrets’.

See everyone at Defcon!

DID YOU EVEN READ THIS ARTICLE, or is this another pass on another’s work….?

    The article stated:

“Writing and talking about security was important in the last decade. Today, the skills in demand are the hands-on ones needed to construct strong defenses and find the malicious actors who get through.”

No, the irony doesn’t completely escape me, but it’s also talking specifically about government roles, not industry. I think we need a balance of people who talk about the strategic direction of security as well as the technical.
